Terms of Service

Rules and responsibilities for using APEX Guard responsibly.

Last updated: 2026-06-21

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of APEX Guard, including the APEX dashboard, Discord bot, account-linking features, Force Account Link, reports, scans, Member Review records, Activity Logs, privacy request tools, and related services.

By using APEX, installing the APEX bot, accessing the dashboard, configuring a server, or submitting information to APEX, you agree to these Terms.

Lawyer review needed: final contract formation, age, governing law, venue, consumer rights, and paid-service terms.

2. What APEX Is

APEX is a Roblox-connected Discord community safety SaaS. APEX helps participating communities verify Discord-to-Roblox identities, configure Force Account Link, review safety-risk accounts, process reports, maintain Member Review records, support Activity Logs, and handle privacy, deletion, correction, and appeal-review workflows.

APEX is not law enforcement. APEX safety signals are not legal determinations, public accusations, guarantees, or public reputation scores.

3. Eligibility

You may use APEX only if you are allowed to do so under applicable law and the rules of the communities and platforms you use.

Server owners and administrators must have appropriate permission to install and configure APEX in their Discord communities.

Lawyer review needed: final minimum age and parental-consent language.

4. Server Owner and Administrator Responsibilities

Server owners and authorized staff are responsible for using APEX responsibly. This includes:

  • configuring APEX only for communities they are authorized to manage
  • limiting staff access to appropriate roles
  • using owner-safe summaries and safety signals as review inputs
  • avoiding public accusations
  • avoiding public shaming, harassment, doxxing, retaliation, or vigilante behavior
  • reviewing local context before taking moderation action
  • respecting privacy, correction, deletion, and appeal-review workflows
  • not attempting to bypass APEX access controls
  • not exporting APEX information for public lists, public reputation systems, or harassment
  • keeping APEX outputs inside approved staff workflows

5. Acceptable Use

You may use APEX for legitimate child/community safety, identity verification, server administration, report processing, Member Review, audit, and privacy-request purposes.

You must not use APEX to:

  • harass, shame, threaten, dox, or retaliate against users
  • create public lists of safety-risk accounts
  • present APEX signals as legal determinations
  • upload illegal content or exploitative material
  • submit knowingly false reports
  • attempt to reveal detection methods, thresholds, provider internals, hidden source data, or platform trust and safety notes
  • bypass access controls
  • scrape, reverse engineer, or overload APEX
  • interfere with APEX services or other users
  • misuse reports, appeals, corrections, or privacy requests

6. Responsible Use of Safety Check / Member Review Tools

Server owners and staff may use APEX safety check or member review tools only for legitimate server safety purposes.

These tools are private staff tools. They are not member-facing lookup services, public reputation systems, public accusation tools, or public posting tools.

Staff must not publish, screenshot, repost, sell, share, or use APEX outputs for harassment, doxxing, retaliation, public shaming, or public accusations.

A safety check result is a private review signal. It is not a legal determination, guarantee, or public reputation score. Server owners should review local context before taking action.

No active APEX safety status found does not guarantee an account is safe.

7. Reports and Evidence Submissions

Users and staff must not upload sexual images of minors, illegal material, exploitative content, or content they do not have a lawful basis to submit.

Reports should focus on account identifiers, timestamps, public links, descriptions, and non-illegal context.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact emergency services. Serious child-safety concerns should be reported to appropriate official reporting channels or law enforcement.

APEX may remove, restrict, redact, summarize, or reject unsafe, unnecessary, or unlawful evidence submissions.

8. Bot and Dashboard Usage

The APEX Discord bot is an enforcement and workflow layer. The APEX dashboard is a control center, identity layer, safety review workspace, and privacy/request governance surface.

Some features may be disabled, limited, experimental, or subject to future approval. APEX may restrict dashboard access where necessary for safety, abuse prevention, anti-evasion, security, legal obligations, or policy compliance.

Where appropriate, restricted users may be offered appeal-review options.

9. Force Account Link

Force Account Link is a core identity verification feature. It helps communities verify Discord-to-Roblox account ownership and reduce impersonation, account confusion, and evasion.

Force Account Link is not a public identity database.

10. Safety Signals

APEX may display or use safety signals, flagged member information, Member Review information, owner-safe summaries, or review recommendations.

These are private safety review tools. They are not legal determinations, public accusations, guarantees, or public reputation scores.

Server owners and staff must use safety signals responsibly and should avoid making public claims based solely on APEX signals.

11. Roblox Group and Game Management

Group management (Premium) and game management (Ultimate) let a server connect APEX to its Roblox group or experience and take reviewed moderation actions there: removal from the connected group, and join restriction (ban) in the connected experience.

Authority to Connect

Whoever connects a Roblox group or experience represents that they are authorized to moderate it. Connecting someone else's group or experience without authority is a violation of these Terms and may lead to restriction or termination.

Owner Responsibility

Management actions execute the server's own configuration and case decisions. Server owners and administrators are responsible for the cases their staff confirm, the actions they enable, and the consequences of automatic screening actions they turn on. Every action is opt-in, disabled by default, anchored to a confirmed member review case, rate-limited, and recorded in the Activity Log.

No Misuse

Management features may not be used to harass, retaliate, or target individuals without a genuine safety basis. APEX may suspend or remove management features from a server that misuses them, in addition to other remedies under these Terms.

Dependence on Roblox

Management actions run through Roblox's official APIs. Roblox availability, behavior, rate limits, and policies are outside APEX's control. Game restrictions applied through APEX can be reviewed and lifted by the experience's own staff in Roblox's creator tools; group removals can be reversed by re-inviting the member on Roblox. A lapsed plan stops management actions.

12. Premium and Future Paid Services

APEX may offer Premium or Ultimate features in the future.

Premium features may include workflow automation, configuration tools, notification features, review tools, audit visibility, or operational controls.

Premium does not buy access to public reputation scores, public lists, raw third-party provider databases, platform trust and safety internals, or broader personal data than necessary for the feature.

Personal safety-data retention should be based on necessity, safety purpose, audit requirements, appeal/correction needs, and legal obligations, not merely payment status.

Paid services may be subject to additional terms, billing rules, cancellation terms, refund terms, and service limitations.

Free trials and automatic renewal

A paid plan may start with a free trial (currently 7 days). A valid payment method is required to begin a trial and is saved but not charged during the trial period. Only one free trial is available per user, across all servers.

Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription automatically converts to a paid plan and your payment method is charged the then-current price for the selected billing period (monthly or yearly). Paid subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard; cancellation stops future renewals and keeps access until the end of the current paid period.

Lawyer review needed before paid launch, including trial and automatic-renewal disclosures required by card-network rules and applicable consumer-protection law.

13. Third-Party Services and Providers

APEX may integrate with or rely on Discord, Roblox, hosting providers, payment providers, analytics/security providers, or third-party safety providers.

APEX does not control third-party services and is not responsible for their independent actions, availability, or policies.

Third-party safety provider signals are review inputs. They are not automatic enforcement decisions, legal determinations, or guarantees.

APEX may change, disable, remove, or replace third-party safety provider integrations.

14. Account Restrictions and Suspension

APEX may restrict, suspend, or terminate access where necessary to protect users, communities, APEX systems, service integrity, or legal compliance.

Restricted users may be offered platform appeal-review options where appropriate.

15. No Bypass or Evasion

Users must not attempt to bypass APEX restrictions, abuse account-linking workflows, misuse appeals or requests, interfere with APEX systems, or use APEX outputs to identify protected internal safety methods.

16. Intellectual Property

APEX and its content, branding, interface, workflows, and software are owned by APEX or its licensors.

Users may not copy, reverse engineer, or misuse APEX except as allowed by these Terms.

Lawyer review needed for final intellectual property wording.

17. Disclaimers

APEX is provided to support community safety workflows, but no safety tool can detect every risk or prevent every harm.

APEX does not guarantee detection, moderation outcomes, account accuracy, safety status accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.

APEX does not replace emergency services, law enforcement, platform reporting tools, parents, guardians, or professional advice.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, APEX is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for loss of data, goodwill, profits, or business opportunity.

Lawyer review needed: limitation of liability must be adjusted for governing law, consumer law, paid plans, and local restrictions.

19. Changes to Terms

APEX may update these Terms as the service changes. The latest version will be posted with a Last updated date.

20. Contact

Contact information is available on the APEX Contact page.

Requests and Contact

APEX provides request paths for privacy, deletion, correction, objection, and appeal-review concerns. Use the dashboard where available.

If you cannot access the dashboard, use the contact information on the Contact page. APEX may need to verify account ownership before disclosing, deleting, correcting, or reviewing account-related information.

POLICY STATUS

These policies describe APEX's current public posture and may change as the service evolves. Jurisdiction-specific terms and planned workflows remain subject to qualified legal review.
