Child Safety Policy
Minor-aware safety design, data minimization, emergency guidance, and responsible use.
Last updated: 2026-06-21
1. APEX's Child/Community Safety Mission
APEX is designed for Roblox-connected Discord communities where minors may be present.
APEX helps communities verify identities, review safety-risk accounts, process reports, run scans, notify staff, maintain Member Review records, and support privacy-aware safety governance.
APEX aims to protect communities while minimizing unnecessary exposure of personal data, especially data involving minors.
2. APEX Does Not Replace Emergency Services
APEX is not an emergency service, law enforcement agency, child protection agency, legal advisor, or crisis hotline.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact emergency services.
Serious child-safety concerns should be reported to appropriate official reporting channels or law enforcement.
APEX does not replace parents, guardians, emergency services, law enforcement, Discord, Roblox, or official reporting channels.
3. No Illegal Content Hosting
Do not upload sexual images of minors, illegal material, exploitative material, or content that could create legal or safety risk.
APEX may remove, reject, restrict, redact, or summarize unsafe, unnecessary, or unlawful submissions.
APEX may accept safer report information such as account identifiers, server or group links, descriptions, timestamps, and non-illegal context.
If APEX does not currently support evidence upload, APEX should not imply that evidence upload is available.
4. Minor-Related Data Minimization
APEX aims to:
- minimize minor-related data
- avoid unnecessary age collection
- avoid public lookup for minors
- use high privacy defaults
- restrict access to sensitive records
- use owner-safe summaries where possible
- avoid exposing harmful material to ordinary users, server staff, or volunteers
- provide review, correction, deletion, and appeal-review workflows where appropriate
5. Private Safety Review
APEX safety signals are private safety-review inputs. They are not legal determinations, public accusations, guarantees, or public reputation scores.
APEX does not provide public safety lookup for minors.
Safety check or member review tools, where implemented, should be staff-only, permissioned, private/ephemeral or staff-channel limited, audited, rate-limited where appropriate, and limited to owner-safe wording.
6. Parent and Guardian Considerations
Parents or guardians may contact APEX regarding privacy, correction, deletion, or safety concerns involving a minor.
APEX may require verification before disclosing or changing account-related information.
Lawyer review needed: parent/guardian verification, under-13 handling, regional children's privacy requirements, and formal parent request workflows.
7. Server Owner Responsibilities
Server owners and staff should:
- use APEX responsibly
- avoid public accusations
- limit staff access
- handle reports calmly and privately
- escalate urgent danger to official channels
- avoid collecting or uploading illegal content
- avoid direct confrontation or vigilante behavior
- respect appeal and correction workflows
8. Safety Education Principles
APEX encourages communities to maintain clear safety rules, teach members how to report concerns, avoid retaliation, protect privacy, and escalate serious risks appropriately.
9. Contact
Safety contact information is available on the APEX Contact page.
Requests and Contact
APEX provides request paths for privacy, deletion, correction, objection, and appeal-review concerns. Use the dashboard where available.
If you cannot access the dashboard, use the contact information on the Contact page. APEX may need to verify account ownership before disclosing, deleting, correcting, or reviewing account-related information.
POLICY STATUS
These policies describe APEX's current public posture and may change as the service evolves. Jurisdiction-specific terms and planned workflows remain subject to qualified legal review.
